For those who have read my fics, I finished HIS KIND OF WOMAN today. You can find on Red Haze and Kryptonsite. Hope you enjoy. :D
I plan on finishing my other fics, as well, since the muse seems engaged at the moment. Some will take longer than others. I appreciate your patience.
Have fun!

Thanks for answering my question! The further i think about it, i think clark imagining lois in Diana's costume was more of him wishing that his current girlfriend (diana) WAS lois. Diana is his gf right now, but clearly that's not who he really wants to be with. Since he was thinking about both women not too long before opening the door, you get some insight into clark's head. So you get Clark imagining Lois in her place, in her costume? Does that make sense?
That could be one way to look at it. He sees Lois through Wonder Woman. But also it could be he wishes Lois was super (a Silver Age throwback) - thus ending his fear for her safety.
It seems to me Lois is always the ‘goal’ for lack of a better term. She’s his true heart’s desire. He thought of the Kents just before thinking of Lois opening the door and greeting him with a kiss. He knew it was Lois, no matter what she was wearing. Some part of him associates Lois with home, family, definitely best friends.
Another thing: Jonathan wonders when Clark will be moving into the spare room. This tells me that even Jonathan knows Clark is the third person in the room when Jon is with Lois. We see that in Superman #1 where Lois talked constantly about Clark to Jonathan.
Diana seems to be the only one who hasn’t seen the bond that Clark and Lois have. Maybe she’s not supposed to yet. But the three other people in the rectangle definitely know it exists.

14 Days of Superman/Clark Kent and Lois Lane
Day 14 - Why do you ship them?
It’s a story of hope, love, acceptance and faith. It’s unique because it involves 3 personalities, not just 2. Clark has a dual identity. He is Superman and he is Clark Kent. And he loves Lois Lane — from the very start, Action #1, 1938. This gave the story a wider audience. Something for everyone. A story that is now modern mythology.
We relate to this story through its human components since we are human. We see the ordinary Clark Kent is also the extraordinary Superman. He shows us and believes we too can do extraordinary things in our ‘ordinary’ lives. Lois is human, just like us. She inspires Superman because she fights fearlessly for truth and justice without superpowers but with her mind, spirit, body and heart.
Lois accepts Superman as a person. She admires what he fights for — the same things she does. The same holds true when he is Clark and they partner up as investigative reporters.
Clark Kent exists because he loves humanity and wants to be a part of our world. The world he has sworn to protect as Superman. In recent incarnations (over 60 years) he was raised by the Kents who loved him as their own son. His strong moral core was guided by them. Since he was raised as human for many years, it is only natural they would want and hope that he would fall in love, marry and perhaps have children. A full life.
This coincides with why Jor-El and Lara sent their son off in a spaceship while Krypton crumbled. They wanted and hoped for their son to live and have a full life.
Leading a double life can only be handled by a superman who has a loving, intelligent, savvy and spirited partner. Clark and Lois are two pieces of a puzzle that fit perfectly together. They mesh because while believing in the same things with regards to personal responsibility and view of their world, they bring strengths and weaknesses that complement the other.
When Superman saves Lois Lane he is often saving the world. And, when Superman saves the world, he is saving Lois Lane, too.
The best stories are those that show that even though Clark/Superman and Lois are separated … they are never apart. There is always that spark, connection, understanding between them. Fertile ground for love. A great love. A realistic love.
Superman cannot solve all problems with a punch or even the pen. Lois understands this and it is her support and love that allows him to be the hero … for her … and the world. Emotionally and psychologically a superpowered being needs this to remain sane. Just because he’s alien doesn’t mean he’s a battling automaton. That’s why Clark Kent is so important and that Lois loves Clark no matter what he’s wearing (or not wearing).
Clark and Lois work at their relationship because of what they face. They deal with the cards they are dealt and try to make things better for the world … and for their relationship. Inspiration for us.
I truly miss their story in the new 52. It’s sad that DC Comics isn’t making the world a better place. Denying us Clark Kent and Lois Lane within the story that we’ve loved for 75 years is cruel and uninspiring.
People want to look up! To aspire. Superman/Clark and Lois’ legendary story gives us that.

14 DAYS OF SUPERMAN/CLARK AND LOIS LANE
↳ Day 13 - Favorite incarnation
This was a tough call. I’ve watched live action Superman and read comics since the 60s and I love about every incarnation (except Superman Returns — and the new 52 so far).
That’s Jeph Loeb up there under the panels from his last issue of Superman v2. He was on that book from #151 to #183. IMO he gave us the best Clois — even when they were separated, they weren’t ever apart. Jeph also was a consulting producer on SMALLVILLE and was one of the people responsible for hiring Erica Durance as Lois Lane. He also started the Superman Batman series which I miss very much. Loved his perspective boxes.
Unfortunately for Superman fans, he’s a big shot at Marvel running their TV division now.

Oh i knew it was kismet - i just found it hilarious that kismet was trying to tell clark and lois something very important and they kept going at it :P
Thanks for putting up those panels. I’m now reading Kismet stories :D She really was a Clois pimp. I wish Susie in the new 52 (who I suspect is Kismet) would do the same. We know Clark and Lois’ love would fix the new 52 universe.

10/14 - 14 Days of Superman/Clark and Lois Lane.
Day 10 - An unappreciated moment that you love.
Smallville’s BLANK
Yea, the Lois watching Clark’s incredible strength scene was awesome, but my fav is in the Kent kitchen. Clark has lost his memory (again) and Lois is fixing a peanut butter and jelly sandwich (which later was one of Superman’s favs). Lois has been living at the Kent house so tossing the peanut butter jar at him to open it was so natural. And Clark instinctively caught it as if it was something they did every day. Just love that scene. Show’s how Lois makes him feel normal.
